Allan P. DeKaye, MBA, FHFMA, President and CEO of DEKAYE Consulting, Inc., has over 30 years of experience in the healthcare field. His career includes a varied background  in the municipal, voluntary and proprietary sectors of the industry. He is a widely sought after speaker and lecturer for national, regional and local audiences in the areas of Financial Management Consulting, Accounts Receivable Management, Staff Education and Training, and EDI solutions. In addition to managing the Patient Accounts department of a major medical center, Mr. DeKaye has been the head of the Accounts Receivable Practice for a "Big 6" national accounting firm.  

Mr. DeKaye has been a member of the ANSI X12N (Healthcare) Committee and contributed to the development of the National Standards for Electronic Eligibility, Enrollment, Claims, Remittances and Utilization Management. Mr. DeKaye was also responsible for implementing the Electronic Eligibility Verification System for New York State's Healthcare Information Clearinghouse Program. He is currently on the Editorial Boards of "The Receivables Report," and "Hospital Accounts Receivable Analysis" (HARA).  He is the author/editor of The Patient Accounts Management Handbook, for Jones and Bartlett Publishers.  Mr. DeKaye is a member of the American Association of Hospital Administrative Management (AAHAM), The American Collector's Association's (ACA) Healthcare Services Program and Creditor's International, a Fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) and recipient of HFMA's William G. Follmer, Robert H. Reeves, Frederick T. Muncie Merit Awards and the Metro NY Chapter's Founder's Award.  Mr. DeKaye has been appointed to the Advisory Board of Commerce Clearing House's (CCH) Compliance Publications and is a Certified Trainer for HFMA's Learning Solutions, Inc.'s  Compliance@work.  His articles on all aspects of healthcare receivables management can be seen extensively throughout industry trade publications.
